Vanitas is built so private keys and generation work stay on your device. This page explains what little we touch and what we do not collect.

01
Keys never leave this device
Address forging runs locally in your browser (Web Workers) or in the local CLI. Vanitas does not upload private keys, mnemonics, or generated key material to our servers. Share proof links intentionally exclude private keys.
02
What we do not collect
We do not require accounts. We do not intentionally collect wallet balances, forged private keys, or pattern search results on a Vanitas backend. There is no Vanitas login.
03
Data on your device
Preferences such as theme (light/dark) may be stored in localStorage and a first-party theme cookie so the correct mode can render without a flash. Sound preference and similar UI state may also stay in local storage. Recent finds are kept in sessionStorage on your device for that browser session and are not sent to us.
04
Hosting & logs
The website is served via standard web hosting (currently Vercel). Like most sites, infrastructure may process technical request data (for example IP address, user agent, URLs, timestamps) in access logs for security and reliability. We do not use that to build marketing profiles of forged keys.
05
No advertising trackers
Vanitas does not embed third-party advertising pixels. If that changes, this policy will be updated.
06
External links
Links to explorers (for example Solscan), GitHub, npm, or social profiles are third-party sites with their own privacy practices.
07
Children
The tools are not directed at children. Do not use Vanitas if you are not legally allowed to use cryptographic wallet software in your jurisdiction.
