Terms of use

These terms govern your use of Vanitas (vanitas.fun), the related open-source code, and the optional CLI. By using the site or tools, you agree to them.

What Vanitas is

Vanitas is a client-side vanity address forge. Cryptographic work runs in your browser (or locally via the CLI). We do not operate a custodial wallet, exchange, or account system.

No warranties

The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Patterns, difficulty estimates, and proofs of find are convenience features — verify results yourself before moving funds.

Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for safeguarding private keys, seed phrases, and exports. Anyone with a private key controls the corresponding funds. Do not share keys. Do not forge addresses for fraud, impersonation, or other unlawful use.

Acceptable use

Do not abuse the site infrastructure (for example automated scraping that harms availability), attempt to break security controls, or misrepresent Vanitas as a hosted key service.

Open source & third parties

Source is published under the MIT license on GitHub. Third-party wallets, explorers, npm, and hosting providers have their own terms. Links to them are for convenience only.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the authors and operators are not liable for lost keys, lost funds, downtime, incorrect patterns, or damages arising from use of Vanitas.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after a posted update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The date above shows the latest revision.
